Richard Uhl
Biography
Richard Uhl was appointed to Fire Chief in May of 2007. Uhl served with the Sioux City Fire Department in Sioux City Iowa for 26 years prior to his appointment with La Vista Volunteer Fire and Rescue. He has experience as a fire/arson investigator, training officer, and assistant fire chief. Uhl has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration and a master’s degree in leadership; both from Bellevue University. He is a member of the American College of Forensic Examiners International and has certification in Homeland Security: Level III.

Responsibilities
The La Vista Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department provides fire and emergency services to the City of La Vista, including fire suppression, basic and advanced life support, emergency medical transport service, rescue and public fire safety education.
