STS Postcard 2_Page_1

La Vista’s annual festival was unexpectedly abbreviated this past Memorial Day weekend, but in its place the City has beenMasks sign working to create an event that will end the summer in style!

This unique, end of summer event is a celebration of the community spirit found in La Vista.

It is a celebration of the place so many call, Home Sweet Home, and will feature a concert, community cookout, tons of inflatables and yard games, car show and fireworks show.

This free event will take place on Friday, August 6, on the City Hall Campus and at La Vista Keno.

So that we may provide the safest event possible, COVID-19 precautions will be in place that include spacing activities as much as possible; requiring unvaccinated employees and volunteers to wear a mask; conveniently locating hand sanitizer and providing masks for anyone who needs one.

We are also partnering with the Sarpy/Cass Department of Health to offer free COVID vaccines at the event.

Event participants are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.
